Super Moonrise

Last super moonrise over Antibes, watched from the edge of the sea before leaving this place behind. A moment that felt almost unreal, a mirrored rhythm of the day. Where I come from, the sea usually holds the sunset, the disappearance of light into water and horizon. Here, it was the opposite logic: the moon rising from the water like an arrival of a new day of the night.

The super moon lifted itself above the sea line, bright and steady, bringing all shades of pink with it. Everything felt suspended for a few minutes, no rush, just the transition of one world into another. A mesmerizing parallel between sunset and moonrise. A final image of the Côte d’Azur I wanted to keep before moving on.
