Iris: The Creature

Painted in Bayonne, France | December 2025 | 38 x 55 cm | Watercolor on 300g Paper.

Born from the Iris Forest, this piece followed the same inner pull. The energy of the pupil lingered, asking to continue. Earthy tones called first, then a large circle emerged in deep shades of purple, surrounded by waves of dots. Nine hours passed in quiet repetition until the creature gaze came alive reflecting the underwater world back at me.
